Turner Sims Southampton, our concert venue, will re-open as normal on Monday 18 September, following a temporary closure this week while an additional survey was carried out into its use of RAAC concrete.
This survey confirmed the material is in good condition and that no immediate remedial work is required. Regular monitoring will be put in place, as with the three other buildings identified as having used this method of construction.
No other areas requiring further investigation have been identified from a further review of all our University-owned buildings.
