There are a range of events and activities to kick off the new academic year. You can relax, meet people on campus or in your halls, take a tour of your halls or campus, or try new sports and activities.

SUSU Freshers
Between Saturday 23 September to Friday 06 October, SUSU, your Students’ Union, are running an exciting line-up of Freshers events featuring the Freshers Party, K-Pop Night, Bingo Lingo, Swiftogeddon (a Taylor Swift club night), and much more. Many events are free to attend. Look at all the events and book your tickets via the SUSU Freshers page.

As well as the events calendar, you can also access key information and links you need while studying via the My Southampton app including your course timetable, campus maps, and digital ID card. Get the app on your mobile or access the web app.
Where to eat on campus
Our campuses have a variety of cafés, restaurants, and shops where you can grab a snack, or hang out in between lectures. On Highfield Campus, you can visit The Arlott, The Terrace Restaurant, La Piazza, or SUSU venues, such as The Plant Pot, The Bridge, or The Shop.
Avenue Campus, Winchester School of Art, National Oceanography Centre, and the Sir James Matthews Building all have cafés with a selection of hot and cold food.
