Southampton Business School will be relocating to Building 175 on Boldrewood, formerly occupied by Lloyd’s Register, in the New Year. The move from its current location in Building 2 on Highfield Campus follows Lloyd’s Register’s decision to relocate last year.
Building 175’s innovative space will be utilised mainly by staff, and some students, to continue to deliver in the areas of education, research, and knowledge exchange and enterprise, further cementing our Triple Helix approach.
Professor Laura Costanzo, Head of the Southampton Business School, said:
“The move to B175 is an excellent opportunity as it will provide the Southampton Business School with top quality facilities and space to fully engage with all the relevant stakeholders: our students, world class scholars, our University colleagues from different disciplines (beyond management science), entrepreneurs, and leaders of businesses and civic organisations. In doing so we will be able to fully execute the University of Southampton’s Triple Helix model that supports our aspiration to create societal impact in the local community and wider international context.”
The building is now closed to enable internal refurbishment works to take place ahead of the Business School’s move.
The University is currently assessing the future use of Building 2 on Highfield Campus, as part of the wider Estates Strategic Plan.
Further information will be provided to staff and students over the coming months.
