Research Funding Development (RFD) are supporting applicants for the new Royal Society Career Development Fellowship, a new funding scheme that is initially targeted at researchers of black heritage.
As part of the support package, RFD are looking to coordinate a session where potential applicants can hear from experienced black researchers on their career journeys, the challenges faced during career transitions, and the potential mechanisms and guidance on offer at these critical stages.
We are looking for potential role models for this session to be held mid-November. If you are a researcher of black heritage and would like to contribute to this session, please email [email protected] and we will contact you regarding your availability. There will be an expectation to deliver a short 3-5 minute presentation on your career journey, and willingness to engage in a Q&A with the attendees.
Although the Royal Society has a defined remit, you do not need to be a subject specialist to take part.
