Do you know someone who would like to boost their business and help it reach its full potential? Southampton Business School (SBS) was awarded the Small Business Charter earlier this year and is joining the national team of Business Schools to deliver the government-supported Help to Grow: Management Course, providing the tools needed to grow businesses fast.
Aimed at Small and Mid-size Enterprises (SMEs), the course will identify more efficient ways of working, target new markets, and support development of a growth action plan to take businesses and teams to the next level.
Gillian Saieva, SBS’s Director of Executive Education, says: “We are delighted to be involved in this business programme and are inviting all University staff to extend this fantastic opportunity across their SME contacts, from family and friends to business networks.
“By working with a diverse range of business groups, we can deliver our role of an anchor institution in the region and support ambitions for growth.”
The 12-week course will offer the opportunity for:
- 1:1 mentoring;
- 50 hours of in-depth training;
- developing a bespoke Growth Action Plan;
- networking with other local business leaders;
- working with a top 10 UK university.
The government-subsidised course is for business owners, leaders, or senior managers from all business sectors. Charities are not eligible.
To qualify you must:
- be an SME based in the UK that has been operational for one year;
- employ between 5 and 249 employees (SMEs with more than 10 employees can send 2 delegates);
- be a member of the senior leadership team and have direct reports.
An onboarding session takes place on Wednesday 29 November, and the first module starts on Wednesday 6 December.
If you, or someone you know, would benefit from Help to Grow: Management, more information or registration can be found on the Small Business Charter website.
