Southampton Arts and Humanities Festival, the University’s annual celebration of humanities and the arts returns this November with an exciting programme of in-person events.
The festival takes place between Thursday 9 November to Saturday 18 November exploring just some of the research taking place across the University and how the arts and humanities shape our communities.
The programme is open to the public and many of the events are free to join. Activities take place across University of Southampton venues and range from workshops and talks, to live music, exhibitions and film.

- Lost in the Middle: a journey through changes to people’s own native language | Avenue Campus | Friday 10 November | 18:00 – 19:30
- Koestler Voices | In conversation at John Hansard Gallery | Monday 13 November | 16:00 – 17:30
- Artificial Intelligence: Past, Present, Future… Singularity? | Film Screening + Talks | Avenue Campus | Monday 13 November | 18:00 – 22:00
- A Portrait of Care | Celebration Event at John Hansard Gallery | Wednesday 15 November | 18:00 – 20:00
- Fitkinwall Harpland | Live Concert at Turner Sims | Thursday 16 November | 20:00 – 22:00
The festival concludes with the popular family-friendly Hands-on Humanities Day on Saturday 18 November at the Avenue Campus.
