Save the date and book your tickets – the new Winter Festival is taking place on Tuesday 28 November on Highfield Campus.
Previously known as Festive Lights, Winter Festival is an extended opportunity to celebrate the arrival of the festive period, with free events happening on campus from 12:00 on the day. The festival will culminate with the popular light switch-on from 17:00.
You can enjoy an afternoon of holiday crafting at the wreath-making workshop and create your own wreath to keep or join a unique curling session on synthetic ice. Both activities are only open to students, require booking and have limited spaces, so make sure you secure your space in advance using the links above. A variety of food vendors and stalls will also showcase their best festive treats and gifts available to buy.
You do not need to book in order to attend the light switch-on – simply show up and enjoy seeing Highfield Campus come to life with festive spirit alongside your University community.
Please note that all Winter Festival activities, including the light switch-on, are only open to University of Southampton students and staff and are not child-friendly. To experience the festive spirit with your children, you can join the Festive Family Event, which will take place on Friday 1 December from 16:00 to 19:00 on Highfield Campus.
