Men’s Health Awareness Month events for staff

November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, with International Men’s Day falling on 19th November. As a university, we’re keen to talk openly about factors that impact men’s health and to support our people. We’ll also be sharing stories from men speaking about how they look after their health and wellbeing.

Globally, men die on average six years earlier than women, for reasons that are often preventable. Which means that it doesn’t have to be that way: we can all take action to live healthier, happier, and longer lives.

Men’s Health Awareness Month is dedicated to bringing awareness to a wide range of men’s health issues to open the conversation about men’s health and to share ways for men to take care of themselves.

The University of Southampton wellbeing team, part of the Health, Safety, and Risk Directorate, will be running events for staff to get involved in this Men’s Health Awareness Month. More information is below, including the booking links, and all events are open to all university staff and PGRs.
