The Autumn round of the Student Experience Survey, a new survey from the University of Southampton and your Students’ Union, is now open for responses. This survey is part of our continuous collaborative effort to capture your feedback and ensure that it is valued, listened to, and acted upon.
We are keen on hearing about every aspect of your time with us; the survey questions go beyond teaching and assessment, to other crucial areas such as your mental health and wellbeing, work-life balance, finances, your expectations, and more. Some of the questions are also tailored to your year of study – for example, first year students will be asked about how they settled in, while final year students will be asked about how they would like to celebrate their Graduation.
“Launching this new survey in collaboration with our colleagues at SUSU will give us the opportunity to listen to your valued opinion and take action to improve your student experience throughout this academic year and in future years,” said Deborah Gill, Vice-President, Education and Student Experience. “I would like to encourage students to share your true opinion with us, not only about your educational experience, but about your Southampton journey as a whole.”
Rebecca Would, VP Education and Democracy at SUSU, added: “Your feedback is vital to improving the university experience for every student. By filling in the Student Experience Survey you are helping SUSU to represent your interests and support the University in making change that reflects and responds to our students’ changing needs.”
As a thank you for taking part in the survey and helping us gain an understanding of your experience and your needs, you will be entered into a £300 prize draw, where you could win one of six £50 vouchers.
