SIAH Data Series: Data, decision-making and inclusion

Friday 24 November, 12:30 – 16:00, Avenue Campus and Online

For the 2023 Data Series, Southampton Institute for Arts and Humanities (SIAH) is partnering with Digital Humanities to explore how arts, culture and heritage organisations engage with data as part of their decision-making processes. We will welcome Layla Barron and Tony Bhajam from the Watershed centre for film culture, art and technology practice, and talent development programmes.

Text that reads "Data, Decision Making, and Inclusion."

Layla Barron, who is Head of Data and Operations, and Tony Bhajam, who is Inclusion Producer, will present on the Watershed’s Balance and Belonging Framework, including discussion of the Bristol and Bath Creative R&D’s Inclusion Framework for Change context and how the presentation of data has been approached in annual reporting. The presentation will then extend into a workshop and a roundtable discussion in the Digital Humanities Hub at Avenue Campus.

There is a hybrid option for the welcome comments and Layla’s presentation and discussion (on Teams from 13:00-14:00) and an on-campus option joining for the whole event (Digital Humanities Hub 12:30-16:00). The Digital Humanities Hub capacity for participation in the whole event (from 12:30-16:00) is 20 people. The Eventbrite registration provides these two options.

Find out more and book your place to join via Eventbrite.
