We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of staff, students, supporters and their families to our Festive Family Event later this afternoon. If you have not registered, you are welcome to come along and enjoy the activities, but please note we cannot guarantee a Storytime with Santa slot will be available. Everyone who has registered for today’s event will have received an email reminder containing all the details needed to fully enjoy the afternoon.
This year we have a SharePoint site containing information about what’s included, where to find the event, and details on accessibility.
We have lots to share with you and your children this afternoon, including a magic show, face painting, balloon artists, festive crafts and activities, bouncy castle, festive brass band music, and plenty of photo opportunities. Hartley Bear and an elf will also be in attendance, ready to give high fives and hugs to anyone who wants them.
If you share your experiences on social media, please use the hashtag #WeAreUoS.
All registered attendees will receive a free drink and festive snack, and additional food and drinks will be available to purchase at the Piazza restaurant (between The Bridge and the SUSU shop on the redbrick area) and from catering vendor vans until 19:00. The Arlott bar will also be open for people to purchase refreshments until 19:00.
Parking permit restrictions will be lifted on Highfield campus from 15:30, for all car parks except for the pay & display car park.
Please note there will be photography and videography taking place during the event of specific children whose parents have given consent. Colleagues capturing photography and videography will ensure other children are not identifiable in published images or videos.
After the event, we will share photos and videos in the December edition of Staff Matters magazine. We would love to include your photos of your own children; please send any you are willing to share to [email protected] by Tuesday 5 December.
