Electronic Expenses within Business World (Agresso) is being updated to an Expenses Experience Pack in January 2024. This decision has been made as the current version of web expenses is no longer being developed by Unit 4, whilst the new experience pack introduces a number of improvements to the current staff experience, streamlining the process of completing a claim. In addition to the experience pack, updates have been made to support recent policy and procedure changes, and to allow students with a UK bank account to raise electronic claims.
We would strongly encourage anyone who has already incurred expenses to create and submit their claim as soon as possible.
Please note:
- Electronic claims must be created and submitted before Wednesday 20 December 2023.
- Any claims in draft must also be completed and submitted by the same date.
- The ability to raise new claims and amend existing claims in Business World will be suspended from Thursday 21 December 2023 until the new experience pack is available in January.
- Once the new experience pack is available, depending on what you are claiming, it may not be possible to amend or approve your old claims so its important to get these completed by Friday 5 January to avoid needing to start a new claim.
Budget holders will be able to approve ‘old style’ claims up to Friday 5 January 2024. As the Data Centre closure will mean Business World is not available between 07:00 on 27/12/23 and 18:00 on 1/1/24, approvers will be unable to complete workflow tasks or progress existing claims until the systems come back online from January 2024.
Please look out for e-mails containing more information about preparations you need to make. Some of these may come direct from Business World so you may need to check other folders in Outlook for new messages; especially if you have created rules on your inbox to direct automated e-mails to specific folders.
The aim is to start rolling out Expenses Experience Pack from Monday 8 January 2024 but you will be contacted with more details nearer the time.
