The latest edition of the University’s alumni and supporter magazine, Hartley News, has just been published, along with the alumni and supporter survey.
The University’s alumni community numbers over 180,000 individuals, spread all around the world, although many of them are much closer to home. In fact, a third of our staff (perhaps including you!) are former Southampton students, and around 90,000 of our graduates have remained within 50 miles of Highfield.
If you are a Southampton graduate, please do complete the survey and have your say about how the University interacts with your alumni community.
Hartley News is sent out in print and online, so it can reach as much of our global community as possible.
This issue features stories from across the University and our alumni and supporter community including:
- A look back at four years of passionate service from Chancellor Ruby Wax: she talks about mental health, presiding over graduation and how she never expected to be a Chancellor.
- A deep dive into our Indian alumni community and branch networks, including interviews with Indian Achievers Award Winners Kaushal Shah and Reshma Rao.
- A trip down memory lane thanks to a gift of photos, letters and pieces of University memorabilia, gifted by the late Professor John Clifton.
- Our 2023 Outstanding Alumni Award winners, incredible Honorary Graduates and some of the biggest University news from 2023.
You can catch up with all the latest news throughout the year via Hartley News Online, where our digital-only editions are published in April and September.
