Would you like to find out more about being a school governor?

Register for our ‘Becoming a School Governor’ webinar on Monday 26 February.

In this webinar, you will find out why being a school governor is a brilliant way to use your skills to benefit young people in your community. You’ll learn what school governors do, how you can get involved, and how it has benefitted others from our University community in their professional and personal lives.

You can choose from the following webinar sessions:

Register for the 12:00 session

Register for the 18:00 session.

The webinar is hosted by Governors for Schools, a national education charity that supports local schools in finding skilled and committed volunteers for their governing boards. It is exclusively for staff and alumni from our University. By attending the webinar, there is no commitment to become a school governor.

Already a school governor?

Join the School Governor Network for a coffee morning drop-in from 09:30-11:00 on Tuesday 27 February in the Turner Sims reception.

The School Governor Network provides peer support for school governors in our University. As a new network, we’d love to hear your thoughts on how we can best support you and new school governors.  Refreshments will be provided.

Please email Adrian Dolby, Widening Participation, for more information – [email protected] or join the School Governor Network Teams group.
