These free spaces are for any distance – all we ask is that you raise a minimum of £150 for one of our life-changing causes here at the University:

  • The Ignite Programme – you will be helping to support underrepresented and disadvantaged students throughout their studies, to ensure they get the most out of their time at Southampton and secure a bright future for themselves.
  • The Cancer Immunology Fund – you will be helping to support life-saving cancer immunology research at the University’s Centre for Cancer Immunology.

What you’ll get by running for us:

  • The chance to be part of a team
  • A free t shirt to wear on the day
  • Support in the lead up to the marathon. including help and tips to plan and promote your fundraising efforts, and motivation to continue your training and preparation
  • Support on the day with the team cheering you on
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our students or cancer patients around the world

I’m fundraising for the Cancer Immunology Fund because I’m able to see every day through working here at the University the incredible impact the people, ideas, and tools have. We all know someone who has been through a personal journey with cancer, whether that’s themselves or a family member/friend. I want to do this to not only push myself but help in any way I can.” – Sophie, 2024 ABP Southampton 10K runner.

For details on how to register, please fill out this form or email [email protected] and a member of our team will be in touch.
