Staff are invited to join a talk about Goal 1 of our Sustainability Strategic Plan given by Adam Tewkesbury, Associate Director, Environment and Sustainability, Estates and Facilities today Wednesday 21 February 2024 12:00-12:45 on Teams.
This is one of the first talks to be held by the newly launched Sustainability Community of Practice and there will be an opportunity to ask Adam questions after his presentation.
What is Goal 1?
Goal 1 of the Sustainability Strategic Plan covers how we will achieve net zero emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2030.

What are Scopes 1 and 2?
Scope 1 covers emissions from gas heating systems, combined heat and power (CHP) and diesel generators, fleet vehicles, and laboratories.
Scope 2 covers emissions from purchased electricity, steam and hot water.
