Work experience opportunity: Take part in the four-day Easter Innovation Challenge

If you’re staying in Southampton over the Easter break, why not take part in the Easter Innovation Challenge to gain industry experience, work on improving your future CV, and be in for the chance to win £1,000 prize money for the winning team.

The Easter Innovation Challenge only requires four days of your time where you will meet with your client, act as a consultant coming up with innovative solutions to a real-world business issue, and benefit from training and support.

Opportunities available

The Challenge is open to all students studying any degree discipline, and you do not need to have any work experience to take part; simply the willingness to make an impact for your client and good teamwork skills. You must be available for the full four days and can apply to work with one of the following clients:

  • Week one: 8-11 April 2024
Client: Boeing – A multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplane, rotor craft, rockets, satellites, telecommunications equipment, and missiles worldwide.
  • Week two: 15-18 April 2024
Client: BAE Systems – A British multinational security and aerospace company. It is the largest defence contractor in Europe, employing over 90,000 people in more than 40 countries.

Apply by 10 March via My Career using the links above.

If you require support with your application, you can use the application process resources on the UoS Career Hub, or book an Ask the Advisor appointment with Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise.
