Last chance to nominate in the Student Experience Awards 2024

Nominations for the Student Experience Awards 2024 close on Monday 15 April. There is still time to submit a nomination to celebrate a friend, peer or SUSU society for their inspiring achievements outside of their studies.

All staff and students are eligible to nominate a student.

You can nominate yourself or another student for the following award categories:

One Southampton Student Award This award recognises a student, or group of students, who has/have fostered the spirit of the One Southampton community through connecting and collaborating with others to benefit our local community, including schools, charities or other local organisations.
Wellbeing and Inclusivity Champion Award This award recognises a student, or group of students, who has/have delivered a specific project, initiative or event that significantly contributes to the enhancement of wellbeing and/or social justice at the University and beyond, whilst championing inclusive behaviour or allyship.
Sustainability Champion Award This award recognises a student, or group of students, who has/have developed and worked hard at implementing a sustainability project, initiative or event and whose involvement has made a positive impact on their peers, the University or their local community in relation to the environment.
Student Enterprise Award This award recognises a student, or group of students, who has/have demonstrated creativity, innovation and enterprising skills and behaviours, including making a significant contribution to an organisation through offering creative solutions to challenges they face through a student innovation project, placement or internship, developing or setting up a new business, start-up or social enterprise or contributing to the student enterprise ecosystem at the University of Southampton.
Global Impact Award This award recognises a student or group of students, that has/have delivered a specific project, initiative or event with an international or intercultural focus, promoting the message that the University is a welcoming place for international students to study.
Student Ambassador of the Year This award recognises a student who has been employed as a Student Ambassador and has stood out by going above and beyond their assigned duties, by supporting peers, representing the University across various events and has actively worked to maximise their impact and excel in their role.
SUSU Recognition Award This award recognises a student who has shown long-standing dedication to SUSU throughout their time at the University. Successful nominations should demonstrate how the volunteer has enhanced the student experience and shown an outstanding commitment.
Society of the Year This award recognises a stand-out society who has excelled this year, delivering great impact for university students and representing SUSU Values.
Society Member of the Year This award recognises a committee member and non-committee member who has shown significant loyalty and commitment to their society this academic year. Successful nominees should have been constantly involved in the activities of the society. They may have gone above and beyond in their role as a member, taking on extra responsibilities to support and develop the society.
Fundraiser of the Year This award recognises a group or individual who has been the driving force behind fundraising for charity this year. Successful nominations will not be based purely on the total raised and should demonstrate how the fundraiser was innovative, creative or involved the wider student community.
