Navigating Cultural Identity: A Discussion for Diverse Families in the UK

Are you finding your way through the intricacies of maintaining a connection to your roots while seamlessly integrating into British society? Alternatively, are you grappling with preserving your cultural heritage while your children forge their own identity within the UK? Whether you’re a first or second-generation individual navigating the blend of cultural influences within your UK-based family, this event is an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation, gain insights, and connect with others sharing similar experiences. Allies are also welcome to join us to learn more about how best to support diverse families in our community.

Join the Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Network and Parents and Carers Network (PCN) on 30 April 13:00-14:00 for a collaborative discussion for staff who have diverse cultural backgrounds and are bringing up their children in this rich and varied British society. With this event we hope to provide an opportunity to delve into the experiences and hurdles of those who are either first or second-generation, navigating the balance between their cultural heritage and the upbringing of their children in the UK.
