Researchers at all levels are invited to attend. The event is aimed not just at those who are considering the scheme, but also those who are interested in knowing more about how the ESRC GAPs work, and those whose role involve promoting funding opportunities and encouraging uptake.

The purpose of the New Investigator Grant is to support researchers in their transition to an independent research career, while establishing a research group and developing their own research vision.

ESRC encompasses a wide range of subjects, spanning across four of the five faculties at UoS. Check the funder’s remit for more information.

Your research can be interdisciplinary, with the social sciences representing more than 50% of the research focus and effort.

Find out more and register.

Please note that the event end time is flexible (between 15:00-15:30) to accommodate questions from attendees. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact [email protected].

Registration closes on Monday 10 June at 09:00. The hyperlink to join the event will be emailed on the day, before the event.
