What does net zero mean to you? Join our focus group

How do people feel about the language surrounding net zero? Are governments and organisations using the right words to communicate its importance? How does this impact the sustainable behaviour of people?

As a resident of the wider Southampton area, you’ll have your voice heard within this dedicated focus group as part of a pilot project on the language of climate change and net zero, funded in collaboration with the Sustainability and Resilience Institute (SRI) and Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).

With discussions about your own experiences and work association activities, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring that net zero efforts and other sustainability initiatives are effectively communicated to enact effective behaviour change in response to the increasingly important issue of climate change.

Plus, we work closely with Southampton City Council, so you could have a direct impact on local initiatives that make a difference.

All focus groups will be held from 11:00 until 12:30, at John Hansard Gallery (opposite Guildhall Square, 142–144 Above Bar Street, Southampton, SO14 7DU). There are five dates to choose from, so you can attend when it best suits you:

Tuesday 4 June

Wednesday 5 June

Thursday 6 June

Monday 24 June

Tuesday 25 June

Lunch will also be provided by our catering team, as a thank you for your time.
