Active Living Cafes are a series of events aimed at supporting individuals living with long-term conditions who wish to stay active in the Southampton area.
Physical activity is crucial in managing long-term conditions (LTCs), yet participation levels have declined nationally post-COVID. An NIHR-funded ‘Maintenance Of physical aTivity beHaviour’ (MOTH) programme from the School of Health Sciences has improved understanding of how best to support people with LTCs to stay active.
The project will be running a series of café events for people to attend and discuss their experiences as well as find out more about how they can stay active in Southampton.
