Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research Themes Webinar

Are you a researcher or PhD student looking to develop your research ideas, grow your network and contribute to thought leadership?

On Monday 1 July, come along to an online webinar from 12:00 – 13:30, where academics from member universities of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change partnership will introduce their expertise in climate change related research focusing on adaptation, health and wellbeing and net-zero areas.

Organised by the Sustainability and Resilience Institute (SRI), which leads on the partnership between our University and the Tyndall Centre, it brings together researchers from the social and natural sciences and engineering to develop sustainable solutions to climate change.

Reflecting the SRI’s aim to foster a collaborative environment to tackle our world’s sustainability challenges, the webinar offers the opportunity to build your network, share valuable insights and bolster your own projects. In addition, you can learn more about opportunities to enact positive change through the Tyndall Centre’s four main themes:

  • Accelerating Social Change
  • Achieving Well Being
  • Catalysing Adaptation and Resilience
  • Reaching Zero Emissions

You can register for the event using this form.

The SRI can fund participation in the annual Tyndall Assembly event, where researchers across the partnership will gather to discuss climate change issues in academia, policy, and industry. The event will be held at the University of Manchester from 10-11 September 2024. Contact SRI on [email protected] for more information, and keep up to date with the latest information as it becomes available on the Tyndall Centre website.

SRI have a specific funding pot for engagement with the Tyndall Centre of Climate Change to facilitate the co-leading of themes and development of research projects and outputs with other Tyndall Members. Find out more here.

You can also find out how the SRI could help your seed project get moving with its 2024/25 funding call. Specifically used for networking and collaboration activities with academics from other member institutions of the Tyndall Centre, it’s an excellent opportunity to accelerate your project with other like-minded individuals. The funding call launched on Friday 14 June – find out more and download the application form here.
