Location: Chilworth Manor
Are you looking to generate impact with your research? Are you a researcher (early, mid or senior career), or academic staff in FSS, FAH, FELS or elsewhere, and eligible to apply to the ESRC or ARHC? If so, come along to our Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) Application Awayday at Chilworth Manor, to find out about the funding scheme and to kick-start your application for impact funding. This session is open to all ERE staff.
The Awayday provides the opportunity to obtain insight into what makes for a ‘winning’ application and allows time to reflect on application texts, as well as start your own application.
In the morning, some of the key challenges faced by ESRC and ARHC applicants will be addressed. In the afternoon, you can begin working on your own application in readiness for the autumn funding round, and receive feedback from peers and experienced staff on your initial text.
This Awayday is open to Level 4-7 ERE staff and will be useful preparation for anyone thinking of applying to the IAA in connection with their impact submissions for the REF2029.
Learning outcomes:
• Understand what is required for an IAA application.
• Aware of do’s and don’ts in application – what may makes for a ‘winning’ application.
• Know what support is available.
Behavioural outcomes:
• Willingness to continue writing an application.
• Improved confidence in delivering what is required for successful application.
The event begins at 10:00, with registration and networking from 09:30, and will close at 16:30. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
