As part of the ongoing works surrounding the Faraday Building, we must undertake an emergency water shut off on Saturday 20 July between the hours of 7:00 and 18:00.
The affected buildings will be:
- Building 5, 7, 9 & 13
- Building 8 Woods Laboratory
- Building 17
- Building 20
- Building 36
The outage will result in the loss of water to all toilets, taps and canteen facilities within these buildings and as a result will render them unable to be used as normal. The facilities may remain open, but any water usage will not be possible and alternate toilet facilities will have to be used in nearby unaffected buildings.
The water outage is necessary to facilitate the critical infrastructure upgrades. Colleagues within the buildings have already been notified.

All water systems will be safe and fully functional after 18:00 on 20 July.
