If you are joining us for the first time in September, or getting ready for another year, here are a few links and reminders you may find useful.
Enrol and complete your essential tasks
If you are a new student, the Welcome website guides you through the essential tasks you need to complete to prepare for your arrival, including enrolling and applying for your ID card.
If you are returning to the University for another year, you can now re-enrol for 2024/25 using Banner Self-Service.
These processes are essential as they enable us to grant or renew your access to our facilities and set you up to start or continue your course.
Connect with students on Unibuddy
It‘s completely natural to have questions and be curious about the upcoming year. You can get the answers you need from student mentors on Unibuddy. Whether you prefer direct chats or attending webinars, there are various opportunities to help you prepare.
Unibuddy is also the place where you can find friends from your course, halls of residence, or who have the same interests as you before the academic year starts.
Download the MySouthampton app
The MySouthampton app is the quickest way you can access important links such as your timetable, digital ID card, emails and campus maps all in one place. The app also holds events taking place across our campuses over Welcome Weekend (21-22 September), Freshers’, and throughout the year.
You can download the app on your mobile phone or explore the web app in your browser.

SUSSED is your student intranet – here you will find news, features, and updates from our University community all year round, as well as quick links to help you access what you need. Make sure you check it regularly to keep up to date – more useful information ahead of semester one will be published here soon.
