Introduction to doctoral supervision e-learning course
The updated Introduction to doctoral supervision e-learning course is now available on Blackboard. This course, taking approximately 1 hour to complete, is aimed at those new to doctoral supervision or new to Southampton, but open to all staff.
By the end of this e-learning course you should be able to:
- Understand and apply the roles and responsibilities associated with being a doctoral supervisor.
- Apply the regulations and procedures that support doctoral study.
- Recognise that expectations may differ between the postgraduate researcher and the supervisory team and be aware of tools to set and manage expectations.
- Find and apply resources and further development opportunities to support you and the PGR to succeed.
