Join us for a fun and informative Lifelong Learning Humanities & Languages Taster Day on Saturday 21 September 2024, from 10:00 to 14:00 at Avenue Campus.
The open day will include opportunities to meet some of our course tutors, experience a new language, learn about our exciting range of Arts and Humanities courses, and find out more about booking and enrolment.
We will be delighted if you can join us for a stimulating and enriching day (with refreshments provided) and hope that you will decide to continue your learning journey with us this coming year.
Here is a flavour of what the day will offer.
Language Tasters
Taster sessions will be available in a range of languages where you can enjoy a short introduction to a language and find out more about the courses we are offering throughout the year. Each taster session will take place twice, so you are welcome to attend tasters in up to two languages. Languages on offer this year are Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Humanities Courses
We will also present some of our diverse and exciting new Humanities courses which will be on offer in our autumn programme. Topics include Histories and Contexts of Cinema: Titanic and other Ships on Film, Philosophy, Women’s writing through Time, Shipwrecks and Maritime Archaeology, and Reflective Art.
