UK Disability History Month is celebrated between 14 November and 20 December 2024. The theme for this year is Livelihood and Employment. As part of the University UKDHM celebrations the UoS Disability and Neurodivergence Staff Network invite staff and students to enter their third Disability History Month Art competition.

To enter the competition entrants must create an image than can be used to celebrate disability or disability equality and inclusion. The competition is open to all staff and students. We particularly welcome entries from those with lived experience of disability and allies. Entries should be reflective of the social model of disability https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/social-model-disability-language
The winning image will be used on UoS Disability and Neurodivergence Staff Network communications throughout the year. Full credit will be given to the artist.
Submission requirements
- An image created using any format that can be used as an image in digital communications.
- An image file that is .jpg, .png or pdf
- A high resolution 590 x 280 pixel image.
- Accompanying written description explaining the image in no more than 300 words
- Submission must be received by 16:00 on Wednesday 16 October 2024
