Research Funding Development (RFD) – part of the Research and Innovation Services (RIS) team – are proud to announce we are holding the first annual Fellowship Week starting Monday 4 November.
Across the week will be sessions that:
- Provide a breakdown of the research fellowship opportunities across numerous key funders
- Give attendees the chance to hear directly from fellowship holders their own journey to a successful application
- Deliver specific fellowship-focused training workshops, with experts from our funding team as well as the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP)
If you are a final-year PhD, postdoctoral researchers, early career researcher or Research Technical Professional (RTP) looking to make the next step in your research funding journey, this is a brilliant opportunity to gain a solid understanding of the funding landscape, hear from experts and meet people at similar career stages.
The week also includes eight places on our always-popular Fellowship & Grant Interview workshop on Friday 8 November.

Want to get involved?
While RFD and CHEP are working on the design and delivery of the week, we would like to invite current Fellowship Champions, holders and mentors the opportunity to be involved in sessions as additional facilitators. We are looking for volunteers for the Ask the Awardee panel (includes lunch) and FLF Workshop, while holders of fellowships across the funder-focus areas (including EU) are invited to participate in the online sessions.
