The Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) is pleased to announce that the Professional Recognition of Educator Practice (PREP) programme (PSF 2023) is now live.
PREP is the experience-based portfolio route and offers all staff involved in teaching and supporting learning the opportunity to develop and evidence their educator activities, knowledge and professional values throughout their career. PREP provides a process by which recognition by Advance HE at Associate Fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow can be achieved.
There is a new PREP SharePoint portal in which you will find out about the PREP programme in detail: the PREP handbook, advice to support your application, categories and processes, what is in a portfolio as well as all the documentation you will need to submit your application.
Supporting events and activities
PREP Briefings will be online and last just over 1 hour. These monthly briefings are informational and cover the categories of fellowship and the process for completing an application. The briefings are appropriate for all categories.
There are three workshops that follow on from the PREP briefing:
Navigating the Portfolio Template: These sessions are category specific where you will have the opportunity to explore each section of the template and mapping of the new dimensions.
The reflective portfolio. Writing for fellowship: These workshops offer the opportunity to explore the reflective writing style required for your portfolio and discuss how you will incorporate your mapping of the dimensions into your reflective writing.
Writing your portfolio: This session is for those at an advanced stage of writing your portfolio.
