CHEP Enhancement funds available for scholarly education or action research project up to £1,500

The Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) is delighted to invite applications for a funding opportunity to conduct a scholarly education or action research project.  This project needs to support the delivery of the University’s Education Strategy in promoting successful outcomes for all students through initiatives involving student co-creation and partnership.

Application deadline is 17:00 on 13 January.  The funding will be awarded in February 2025 and the research study must be completed by 31 July 2025.

This fund will be ideal for scholarly work that will add to the education portfolio of staff, particularly those on the education-focused pathway, but it is open to all to apply.

Submissions should align with one of five priority themes:

  • Co-designing with students to deliver better teaching or a better curriculum
  • Promoting academic achievement across all student groups through student partnership
  • Partnering with students to design curriculum or assessment that aligns with employability outcomes
  • Collaborating with students to adapt teaching or assessment in an artificial intelligence context
  • Investigating other new pedagogies or assessment and feedback initiatives

Further details of the criteria can be found on CHEP’s Enhancement Fund SharePoint page with the associated form and timeline.
