The University previously announced the introduction of a new automated parking system. The system is now live and FAQs are available on the dedicated SharePoint. You can see live availability of our parking spaces on the website: https://uos.apcoa.com/occupancy.
Permit lengths
Some colleagues may have noticed their digital permits are displaying an expiration date in January – this will automatically roll over and be updated so no action is required from colleagues.
Using an alternative car
The system allows you to register multiple cars, but the Automatic Number Plate Registration (ANPR) system will only recognise the primary car registered on your permit profile. If you are coming in your secondary vehicle, please ensure you update your profile and specify the correct car on the day via the APCOA parking portal. Without doing so, you may receive a PCN.
Paper and disc permits are no longer in use as permits are now digital, so please manage use of car parks via the parking portal.
Payment
In January we will be opening the payment module where you can add your card payment details ahead of the re-introduction of charges in February. Further information on this is available in the New fee structure SUSSED post.
