At Turner Sims, the University’s music venue, we warmly welcome everyone to experience the joy of music.
This Spring, we are delighted to present an incredible selection of concerts, which can be enjoyed for FREE if you’re aged 8 – 25 years old thanks to the generosity of the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust.

Aged 15-25?
Email a copy of your ID verifying your date of birth to [email protected] using Cavatina as the email title.
For parents and carers of 8-14-year-olds
Simply email your child’s name and date of birth to [email protected] using Cavatina as the email title. You will receive an email to confirm that the membership has been set up. To book your free ticket, login to your Turner Sims account and select Standard Ticket. The discount will automatically be applied at checkout.
We believe music is at its most joyful when shared with others. If you want to join your child or young person at a concert, we have tickets at prices to suit all budgets. See individual concerts for ticket prices.

The Jupiter Ensemble, with Director David Owen Norris, celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary with a programme that includes Carl Davis’s much-loved score for the 1995 BBC series of ‘Pride & Prejudice‘.
Chloë Hanslip and Danny Driver | Bach and Beyond I / Friday 21 March / 19:30
In the first of their Bach series, violinist Chloë Hanslip and pianist Danny Driver delve into JS Bach’s works for solo violin.
Tamsin Waley-Cohen and Cordelia Williams / Tuesday 8 April / 19:30
An evening of lyrical piano and melodious violin in the first of three concerts curated by Cordelia Williams. We celebrate the musical partnership between pianist and composer Clara Schumann and Joseph Joachim.
Maxwell Quartet with Cordelia Williams / Thursday 15 May / 19:30
A beautiful blend of piano and strings, combining classical and folk traditions. This special collaboration integrates music from and inspired by the quartet’s Scottish homeland with iconic classical music works.
Chloë Hanslip and Danny Driver | Bach and Beyond II / Tuesday 10 June / 19:30
Dmitri Shostakovich was an avid admirer of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Violinist Chloë Hanslip and pianist Danny Driver unite music by the two composers in a celebration of Bach’s enduring influence.
Schubert’s Trout Quintet / Tuesday 24 June / 19:30
A stellar cast of musicians combines for two classical masterpieces – Brahms Piano Trio in B, and Schubert Piano Quintet in A, ‘Trout’ in the final concert of Cordelia Williams’ series.
