Time to Talk Day

Thursday 6 February is Time to Talk Day and as part of their winter wellbeing campaign, the staff wellbeing team are creating opportunities for staff to connect with one another.

Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. It’s a day for friends, families, communities and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives and is run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.

By talking openly about mental health, we can continue to reduce the stigma around the topic and make colleagues feel comfortable about sharing when they’re struggling. To learn more about the mental health sessions available to staff, visit the stress and mental health training offer SharePoint page.

Our Health and Wellbeing Champions have organised some events on Thursday 6 February across campuses. There will be local communications if there is an event running in your area.

Find out more about how the University is supporting staff with their mental health on the dedicated mental health SharePoint page.
