The Research@Southampton programme is a new series of events to introduce the University’s research strategy, and the opportunities and support available to staff in pursuit of research, knowledge exchange and enterprise activities. Open to new and existing research staff, it aims to provide the knowledge for colleagues to succeed in their role and network with other researchers across the University.
The events will be hosted by senior research leaders at the University and focus on different aspects of our research and knowledge exchange and enterprise (KEE) ecosystem.
5 February 2025 – Research strategy and culture 13:00 – 15:00
An overview of the University’s research strategy. Find out about research culture and environment and get a head start on the practicalities of conducting research at Southampton.
19 March 2025 – Interdisciplinary research, networking, and collaboration 11:00 – 13:00
An opportunity to network with interdisciplinary research in mind! Come and find out more about the Interdisciplinary research programme and the University Strategic Interdisciplinary Research Institutes. This is a great chance to connect across the University.
16 May 2025 – Research funding lifecycle and support 12:00 – 14:00
This session will take you through the research funding application journey and introduce the support available when seeking external funding for your project, plus provide an update on the current regulatory environment and research landscape.
9 June 2025 – Knowledge exchange & enterprise, research impact and public engagement 12:00 – 14:00
KEE is a key aspect of our University strategy. This event will provide an overview of the opportunities and professional development provided across the institution, for the whole spectrum of knowledge exchange and enterprise activity.
