SUSU Leadership Elections: Now Open!

Nominations for the SUSU Leadership Elections are now open until Friday 21 February.

Sabbatical Officer roles offer a full-time paid opportunity (circa £25,000) to enhance student life, represent student voices, and drive change at SUSU and the University.

With new roles this year including Union President, VP Education, VP Inclusion, VP Sports, and VP Communities, you can find out more about the SUSU Leadership Elections on the SUSU website.

Plus, learn from Lottie James, current VP of Welfare and Community, as they reflect on their experience as a Sabbatical Officer:

“I wanted to make a change for students like me. I am a neurodivergent, mature student who follows a Pagan path and comes from a low-income background. Initially, I planned to run for the role of President as it had been something that during my first year, I had considered running for. However, given my goals were much more in the remit of VP of Welfare and Community (now included in the new VP Inclusion role), I ran for VP of Welfare and Community; I haven’t looked back.

I have been able to get involved in liberation campaigns, visit students at other campuses, work with students from various backgrounds, and advocate for students just like me and students who aren’t like me in senior university and union meetings. I have loved supporting campaigns, running my own campaigns, and delivering the manifesto I promised to students.”

Enter your nomination for the SUSU Leadership Elections by Friday 21 February for your chance to influence the student experience at the University of Southampton.
