The University is pleased to share that the Faraday Tower demolition project is now entering its penultimate phase. The team working on site have made significant progress over recent months, and the last remaining floors of the tower are set to be removed from the beginning of March.
As part of this phase, all work will now take place from ground level using specialist equipment.
We recognise that this phase might bring increased noise and disruption in the immediate area, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. The team will continue to work as efficiently as possible to minimise the impact on campus life.
Demolition works are due to complete in the summer of 2025.
This project has been a crucial step in improving our university’s infrastructure, with essential works in the ground now complete and operational. Our heating and drainage have been improved and will ensure that we can support any future development in this area of campus.
