Following a hugely successful inaugural launch last year with the Student Experience Directorate (SED), the library is extending its invitation to submit artwork to our second summer exhibition to all university staff. This year’s theme is Connection.

We would like to showcase and celebrate the varied talents that can be found across the University of Southampton’s community. Through the creation of artwork, tell us what ‘Connection’ means to you. You can draw from your personal experiences, whether that’s in the workplace or at home.
The artwork can be in any form of your choice – last year’s submissions ranged from creative writing to crochet. Your work can be a group submission or an individual piece. Check out last year’s exhibition for inspiration.
The closing date for the library to receive all artworks is 30 May 2025.
We will display submissions in the exhibition space in the Level 4 Gallery in Hartley Library, from 7 July to 15 September 2025. We may need to be selective, if space constraints mean we can’t display all submissions.
If you are interested in participating or wish to talk to a member of the Library Engagement Team, please contact [email protected] using the title ‘Summer Exhibition 2025’. Submission forms will be sent out in April to all those who have been in contact.
