The staff wellbeing team has updated their stress training and new dates have now been added. Since attending the training sessions, staff have adapted their approach to stressful situations and been able to use the training to improve their understanding of stress and adapt how they handle it.
There is a wealth of training in place to help support staff with managing stress. Here is just some of the feedback from staff who have attended stress training about how it has benefitted them:
Karl said, “It has helped me realise that I have more control over the items that cause me stress than I maybe realised. I also realise to an extent I was causing some of my own stress with unrealistic expectations of myself or thinking others had certain expectations of me that weren’t based on anything they had said but things I just assumed.”
Sarah said, “It has helped me develop a better understanding of my own responses to stress and different ways it manifests in others. But more importantly, it is now something I feel able to discuss in the workplace. It’s easy to forget that stress affects us all and the signs can be misconstrued as poor performance or behaviour.”
