Reminder: Mental Health Awareness Week (10-16 May)

Don’t forget, Mental Health Awareness Week is taking place from 10–16 May.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the services and support available for students both at the University and across the city.

Throughout the week, you can get involved with a range of online and in-person activities. You can visit Student Life at a range of locations, go on a wellness walk with Sport & Wellbeing, or participate in their Scavenger Hunt.

There are still spaces available on the following events:

Did you know that as a University of Southampton student, you have free access to Togetherall (an online wellbeing platform)? In this session you can find out more about the platform and the courses and resources you can access.

Join Sport & Wellbeing to hear more about the different ways you can maintain a healthy lifestyle and the benefits that being active can have for our bodies and mind.

Steps to Wellbeing are a local NHS support service offering guided self-help, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and counselling.

Join Jude from Mayfield Nurseries to find out about therapeutic gardening and the ways that nature can contribute to positive wellbeing.

All events and activities can be found on the Mental Health Awareness Week webpage.

If you’re worried or are struggling with something, it can help to talk to someone about what you are going through. If you’re a student, you can find out who you can talk to if you need some support with your mental health and wellbeing.
