In March 2021, the Government announced an extra £25 million for the Safer Streets fund, which provides neighbourhood measures, such as better lighting and CCTV to improve safety and prevent crime. This came alongside a commitment for police forces and Police & Crime Commissioners to ensure these target areas of potential concern are now more focused on preventing sexual violence.
Hampshire Police are asking students to complete this survey asking for your views and experiences about safety in public spaces across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The information collected through this survey will inform the application for the funding outlined above to make Hampshire and the Isle of Wight a safer place for all.
