Design ideas wanted for new Chemical Engineering facilities

The University is currently building new Chemical Engineering facilities including a virtual control room, laboratories and a computer suite. We are now looking for your ideas on how to decorate these spaces with themed artwork.

If your entry is used in the final artwork, you will receive a £50 Amazon voucher.

What are we looking for?

The spaces we’ll be looking to fill with artwork are walls and windows in the new study spaces. The artwork should represent the field of chemical engineering, and add to the modern, sophisticated feel of the spaces.

We’re not looking for complete design work, but ideas that can be incorporated, tweaked and scaled up as needed. This could include a molecule, a piece of chemical engineering equipment, a substance, equation – or anything else you can think of!

Who can enter?

The competition is open to the following groups:

  • All current University of Southampton students, studying any subject
  • Anyone interested in studying Chemical Engineering at university, who is joining in 2021 or 2022.

How to share your ideas

Please send your design ideas as attachments or weblinks to Nuno Bimbo: [email protected] by Friday 22 October 2021.
