The Student Wellbeing Team are pleased to invite you to their Wellbeing and Safety Day on Wednesday 20 October from 11:00-16:00. The event will take place at the Faith and Reflection Café in the Nuffield Theatre (Building 6, Highfield Campus).
This event is designed for you to find out more about the support available for your mental health and wellbeing both at the University of Southampton and locally.
You will be able to chat to staff from various University support services such as the Student Wellbeing Team, the Faith and Reflection Centre, the Students’ Union, the International Office and the Chinese Association Southampton. The Community Mental Health Nurse from the local GP surgeries, and Steps to Wellbeing, the NHS mental health therapy provider for Southampton & Dorset, will also join.
There will also be wellbeing-focused activities happening during the day:
- Seated massages in the Faith and Reflection Café;
- An online Introduction to Togetherall session, which you can sign up to for free;
- Take a piece of fruit or veg home for free – outside Building 6.
Students based at Winchester School of Art can visit the WSA Café between 11:00-15:00 to find out more about the Student Wellbeing Team, as well as the local support service, iTalk.
We encourage all of our students to review and follow the latest COVID-19 government guidance, and University guidance. If you are attending campus, you are expected to test. Full information on testing can be found on our SharePoint. If you’re showing symptoms of COVID-19 or feeling unwell, please do not come to campus or attend our events, even if you have tested negative.
The Student Wellbeing Team are dedicated to supporting student wellbeing and enhancing the student experience. The team are available via The Student Hub 24/7 via telephone, email, and in-person.
