Starting from Wednesday 26 January, the Student Disability and Inclusion team are hosting Autism Matters – a series of group workshops specifically designed for students with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and those awaiting a diagnosis. A formal diagnosis is not needed to join the workshops.
Each of the five workshops will cover a different topic, from anxiety and stress to study skills, communication, and emotions. They will be facilitated by specialist practitioners and are currently set to take place on Highfield Campus, with the first session about managing stress and anxiety happening on Wednesday 26 January, from 14:00 to 15:00. You may choose to attend all five workshops, but there is no requirement to do so.
The sessions are scheduled as follows:
- Managing Stress and Anxiety – 26 January, 14:00-15:00
- Study Skills – 9 February, 14:00-15:00
- Empathy and Morality – 23 February, 14:00-15:00
