Be an Inclusive Learning Volunteer and help other students

The Student Disability and Inclusion Team are looking for Inclusive Learning Volunteers (ILVs). ILVs cover a range of roles to support new, current or returning students to help them overcome barriers and thrive at the University.

From supporting new students with additional needs to adjust to university life, to gaining experience supporting those with long-term health conditions, mental health conditions, disabilities, and/or who identify as neurodivergent – the ILV program is a fantastic way to gain valuable work experience while making a real difference.

A student who volunteered in the 2020/21 ILV cohort said:

“I had an amazing time as an ILV, and I highly recommend this volunteering experience to anyone studying at the University. I felt as though I was making a difference to my peers’ UoS experience and will always be grateful for the opportunity.”
