This module provides a broad overview of topics relevant to contemporary Supply Chain Management and Logistics. It acts as a foundation for your further investigation into areas pertinent to your career choice(s) as well as an integrative module that provides a managerial perspective to the MSc as a whole.

- improving the efficiency and effectiveness of customer service delivery.
- structural choices in the design of operational systems;
- the identification of areas for cost savings through the reduction and elimination of non-value adding activities;
- utilising the principles of quality including Total Quality Management (TQM) and 6 Sigma approaches;

- Advances in IT systems – ERP, Advanced Planning Systems (APS) and supply chain planning software, Enterprise Integration technology;
- Communication within supply chains;
- Green Logistics.
