Teamwork and design skills are essential to a mechanical engineer, so there's a strong focus on both at Southampton. Our courses are led by active researchers, meaning you'll be the first to benefit from their findings. At undergraduate level you can personalise your degree by choosing from a range of specialisms, covering everything from mechatronics to biomedical engineering. You can specialise further at master's level, with degrees focusing on areas such as propulsion, engineering materials and computational engineering design.
