Vesna is a principal teaching fellow in the School of Mathematical Sciences. She has been teaching a wide range of modules in mathematics to a wide range of students, from Foundation year to postgraduate.
Vesna’s current interests and scholarship includes proof comprehension, eAssessment and student staff partnerships (relational pedagogies).
Vesna teaches a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Analysis (second year compulsory module), Operational Research (for 3rd year engineering students), Statistical Methods for OR Modelling (MSc module). Vesna is committed to students’ learning exploring how to incorporate new technologies and social media in her teaching.
Vesna received her mathematics degrees from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. After spending several years at the University of Saarbruecken, Germany, in December 2000 she moved with her family to UK. She has held a teaching position at the University of Southampton since 2001.
