Module overview

The purpose of the module is to develop students’ ability to undertake research in human geography by building on what they have learnt related to methods and research design in Geog2008 and practice-based learning on a fieldtrip and associated lectures, practicals and tutorial teaching.

The module will give them additional practical experience of carrying out research while developing their critical thinking through real world cases. Through the practical experience of undertaking group research projects as part of a fieldcourse, a range of research skills including design, methodology and data analysis will be learnt.
